Home » Security » How can owners, guests, property managers, and vendors get access to the security gates?

There are two different methods to enter Reunion West without going through the main gatehouse.   Depending on your situation, you may choose to use one of these methods or may choose to use both.

RFID Hang Tags

All homeowners can purchase up to five RFID hang tags to access our Reunion West community.  RFID hang tags are very convenient.  It hangs on the rear-view mirror of your vehicle.  This is the fastest method because as you approach the owner’s side of the gate, then the gate will automatically raise.

Please do not try to reposition your hang tag while driving because it can be distracting and dangerous.

QR Code

Another method is to use a QR Code.  Each access gate at Reunion West has a kiosk with a QR reader.  If you register for this system (more on that below), you can issue yourself and your guests a QR code.  The QR Code is normally sent to one’s phone via text.  But your user can also print out the QR code and use a clean picture of the QR code to gain access to Reunion West.  To raise the security gate, you simply place the QR code into the reader on the right of the kiosk and the gate will raise.

Which method is better?

This is totally up to you as the homeowner.  One advantage of the RFID hang tag is convenience and fast.  There is no need to stop and show a QR code at the gate.   You or your guests simply approach the gate, wait for the gate to raise and drive through.

Also, the QR code has advantages.  For example, if you wanted to give temporary gate access to a delivery person, electrician, plumber, appliance installer, etc. you can use the QR system to issue the vendor a temporary QR access code.  If you self-manage the rental of your home, you can issue QR codes to your guests.  Even if you do not rent your home, a QR code is a convenient way to grant access to your friends or guests.

Again, as a homeowner, you can use both methods.  But to use the QR code access system, you need to register to use the system.  To register for the QR code system, click on the link below.
